Jambay Lakhang & Prakhar Festivals in Bumthang |
| The Jambay Lhakhang festival starts in the evening around 6 or 7 PM. It is well known for its run through fire. A wood frame is covered with cypress leaves that are then set on fire. Once the entire frame is erected and burning, people run through it. It is said that once you pass through the fire, you will stay healthy and all bad luck is gone for one year. |
