Jambay Lakhang & Prakhar Festivals in Bumthang
The Jambay Lhakhang festival starts in the evening around 6 or 7 PM. It is well known for its run through fire. A wood frame is covered with cypress leaves that are then set on fire. Once the entire frame is erected and burning, people run through it. It is said that once you pass through the fire, you will stay healthy and all bad luck is gone for one year.

Trongsa Tshechu in central Bhutan
Connect with the locals at the delightful Trongsa festival, which is held in the courtyard of the most impressive dzong (fortress) in Bhutan. The dzong is situated so high on the hillside that it sometimes appears to be above the clouds. Bhutan is less crowded with tourists at this time of year.
